Just around the headland from Red Beach, White Beach sits beneath pale, almost bone-coloured volcanic cliffs — a striking contrast to its more famous red neighbour, and considerably quieter, since it's harder to reach.
How to get there
Small boats run regularly from Akrotiri's old port and from Red Beach itself in season, which is the easiest option. A footpath also connects the two beaches on foot, but it's rougher and less well marked than the path down to Red Beach — fine for confident, sure-footed walkers, less so otherwise.
What to expect
Minimal facilities — bring your own water, shade (umbrella or a spot near the rocks) and anything else you need, since there's little to buy on-site compared with Red Beach or the main resort beaches. That trade-off is exactly why it stays quieter.
